Hello, I'm Nicola. A Scotland based wedding photographer for couples who want their wedding to feel like a wedding, not a photoshoot.
My approach is simple: be present, soak it all in, laugh loudly, hug your people, dance before you’re supposed to and forget I’m even there.
I’ll give you a little direction when you need it, disappear into the background when you don’t, and find the photographs in everything happening around you.

I notice things.
The hand squeeze under the table. Your mum watching you when you’re not looking. The friend already crying before you’ve even walked down the aisle. The chaos happening three feet away from the perfectly composed photograph.
That’s the stuff I’m drawn to.
Of course I love beautiful light, gorgeous portraits and an editorial moment, but never at the expense of actually experiencing your wedding.
Because the photographs that become important aren’t always the ones we planned.
They’re usually the ones you didn’t even know were happening.

WHAT DOES IT FEEL LIKE TO HAVE ME THERE?
Easy!!!
That’s the word I hear again and again.
You don’t need to know where to put your hands. You don’t need to practise poses. And you definitely don’t need to spend half your wedding disappearing for photographs. When you need direction, I’ll give it. When something needs fixing, chances are I’m already fixing it.
And when the room erupts, the champagne starts flying or your favourite person pulls you onto the dance floor? I’m right there in the middle of it.
Calm when you need calm.
Direction when you need direction. Completely unobtrusive when the moment belongs to you.

Your wedding day is one of the rare moments in life where the people you love most are all in one place.
It deserves to be documented thoughtfully.
I believe photography should enhance your experience, not interrupt it.

about me
Perfect Sunday?
A slow morning with Davie and the fur girls, a long walk, good food and absolutely nowhere we need to be.
My happy place?
Somewhere warm, five-star and requiring a flight to get there. ✈️
Always ordering?
Cold fizz. Preferably with a sunset.
Window or aisle?
Window. Obviously. I will be staring out of it for the entire flight like I’ve never seen a cloud before.
Something I’ll never get tired of?
That just-married walk back down the aisle. The faces. The confetti. The absolute JOY of it.
Wedding-day superpower?
Knowing something is about to happen approximately three seconds before it does.
Most likely to be found at a wedding…
In the thick of it. Veil fluffing, button fastening, bouquet holding, herding humans, calming nerves — occasionally I take photographs too. 😂
The photographs I love most?
The ones you didn’t know I took.
My photography philosophy?
You don’t need to perform for beautiful photographs. Go live it. I’ll find them.
My weakness?
Dogs. Every single time. If there’s a dog at your wedding, accept now that we’re going to become friends.
My kind of people?
Warm, kind, a little bit sentimental and completely up for having a brilliant time.

I care. A lot. About your photographs, your experience and making sure you actually get to enjoy the day you’ve spent so long planning.
Life outside weddings?
Davie, our fur girls, booking the next trip, chasing sunsets, cold fizz and convincing myself I definitely need another holiday.
